The Bible we have today is composed of 27 sections written by different writers. Let us glance those 27 sections.
MATTHEW – The Generation of Jesus Christ
1-2 Abraham begot Isaac. And Isaac begot Jacob. And Jacob begot Judas and his brethren.
MARK
1- The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
2- As it is written in Isaias the prophet: Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare the way before thee.
LUKE
1-3 O Theophilus, forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a narration of the things that have been accomplished among us,
JOHN
1-2 In the beginning was the Word: and the Word was with God: and the Word was God.
ACTS OF APOSTELS
1-2 The former treatise I made, O Theophilus, of all things which Jesus began to do and to teach, until the day on which, giving commandments by the Holy Ghost to the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up.
ROMANS
1- Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God which he had promised before, by his prophets, in the holy scriptures.
CORINTHIANS 2
1- Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother: to the church of God that is at Corinth, with all the saints that are in all Achaia.
COLOSSIANS
1-2 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Chris, by the will of God, and Timothy, a brother: To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ Jesus who are at Colossa.
THESSELONIANS 2
1- Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians. In God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, grace unto you: and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
PETER 1
1- Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers dispersed through Pontus, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, elect.
PETER 2
1- Simon Peter, servant and apostle of Jesus Christ: to them that have obtained equal faith with us in the justice of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
JOHN 3
1- The Ancient to the lady Elect and her children, whom I love in the truth.
JUDE
1- Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James: to them that are beloved in God the Father and preserved in Jesus and called.
REVELATION
1- The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to make known to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass: and signified, sending by his angel to his servant John. |
